Cafe Alata Colombo

Tried the place a few times now and loved the ambiance and music. Staff are very friendly and they even helped me with my baby so that I can have my meal peacefully 😊
Absolutely love their Ube drinks and the food is full of flavour (I finished a massive pancake which I usually wouldn’t) it was so so good.
I tried their cappuccino today and loved it.
Something today made this place stand out and exceptional, my friends and I were planning to meet here and one friend specifically wanted to try their Tiramisu pancake so before we went I checked with the staff in the morning if they have it available and he confirmed it would be available and I told him we would head there in the evening. But when we went there one particular ingredient wasn’t available to give us the Tiramisu pancake.
They could have easily said it wasn’t available and brushed it off but they went out of the way looking for the ingredient all over Colombo and found it after an extensive search and made sure my friend got her Tiramisu pancake. They kept their word which is highly appreciated and goes on to show that they aren’t about just a coffee shop serving but they serve with passion and ethics. Loved that they did the whole thing from scratch for us and the chef himself came and checked if everything was ok…. The Tiramisu pancake was a bomb… and made our day and specially my friends day

We had a lovely time cafe alata. The space is captivating with a lot of artwork and antiques to check out and their ube drinks are great. I loved the ube cloud drink and the ube chocolate drink. As for the food, the croissants are great, we had a savory one and a strawberry one (they gave us as a complimentary treat because it was my friend’s birthday). Both croissants had the perfect flaky outer texture and the fillings were great. The peanut noodle was not what I expected and it was alright. The creamy pasta was really good. And the staff were super friendly too.

Overall, I had a great experience here and would definitely recommend.

Had such a lovely experience at Alata the atmosphere is beautiful and the artwork really adds to the whole vibe. The food was great but the drinks was definitely my favourite really enjoyed it!

The customer service was also excellent Everyone was so friendly and welcoming which made the experience even better definitely a place I’d recommend and visit again!
