Really enjoyed our visit here. The food was genuinely delicious and you can tell that a lot of care goes into the dishes. It’s definitely on the more expensive side compared to other restaurants around, but the quality makes it lowk worth it.

A special mention to Dasun, our waiter, who was extremely polite, attentive and spoke very good English. You could tell that the staff were well trained, which made the whole experience very easy and pleasant.

Overall, definitely worth a visit!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was incredibly pleasant and relaxing, with beautiful ambience and calming background music that made the whole evening feel very special.

Our waiter, Thushara, was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely attentive, friendly and welcoming, and he even took the time to have a lovely conversation with us. He went above and beyond to make sure all our wishes were taken care of. We were even provided with “homemade” mosquito spray at the table.

The food was absolutely delicious and very generous in portion size. Everything was excellent, from the starters to the main courses and desserts. The cocktails were also incredibly tasty. There was a great selection of vegetarian dishes as well, which we really appreciated.

The value for money was outstanding. Considering the quality of the food, service and overall experience, this restaurant would probably be much more expensive and considered a high-end restaurant in Europe.

All in all, it was a fantastic visit from start to finish. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. Definitely a place worth coming back to! ❤️

Bungalow was one of those restaurants that completely lived up to the hype. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the entire evening just felt effortless.

A special shoutout to the staff, and especially our server, Issuri, who was brilliant at helping me navigate the vegetarian options. She was so helpful and made sure I had plenty to choose from without ever making it feel like an afterthought.

Bungalow doesn't take reservations and there can be a wait, but the beautiful waiting area makes the whole thing much easier. You can also order drinks while you wait, which is a very good way to pass the time. And trust me, the wait is worth it.
The Fresco cocktail was fantastic. And the churros were an absolute highlight.

Definitely one to add to your Galle list. It really is worth the wait and the hype.
Honestly, we enjoyed the evening so much that instead of trying a different restaurant the next night, we went to Bungalow's sister restaurant, The Archives. Do check that out too because both are genuinely amazing.

We visited The Bungalow restaurant for dinner and the food was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We started with the tempura prawns with papaya salad which was fresh and full of flavour. For our mains, we had the tuna steak and the fish curry. The tuna was cooked perfectly and the fish curry was outstanding.

The service was just as impressive as the food. All of the staff were super friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our meal. A special mention goes to Zakir, who looked after us so well and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

We'd highly recommend the restaurant and would definitely return!

We ate here two nights running, fantastic food and atmosphere. Both nights we arrived about 6:30 pm and it was very busy ,but you sit and wait in the comfortable seating area and have a drink. Probably waited half an hour each time. Our waiters over the two nights were Shairu and Thushara, both super friendly and efficient and even though it is a very busy and popular place you don't feel rushed at all. I would recommend a visit here and don't be put off by the queue as the wait probably won't be as long as they say.
Another really nice thing is that the tables have space around them so you don't feel that you're eating with strangers and listening to their conversations or vice versa.
